Yesterday evening, Patchwork’s main room was filled with children and their families. They were here to celebrate another school year completed in Patchwork Central’s Arts & Smarts Children’s Program.
We all admired the children’s artwork displayed around the room. We ate pizza, veggies, cookies, and fruit kabobs. We watched a slide show highlighting the fun from the past year. We sang a song with Gary and his guitar. We gave out door prizes.
It was a fun evening to top off a fun year! We encourage you to watch the video recap of our year below:
Now we’ll look toward summer fun. Patchwork’s summer activities for kids will run June 5-June 22 and July 10-July 20. Activites take place from 2:30 pm-5 pm, Monday-Thursday. You can sign up for anything from a single week to all five.
Every week will include a mixture of art activities, gardening, story time with Susan Fowler, and visits from other special guests. The summer program is open to children who have completed grade 1 and older.
Children’s registration forms are available from Patchwork’s main office and on our website. We would also love to have high school students and adults help out by volunteering. Volunteer registration forms are also available from Patchwork’s main office and on our website.
