This was not the start for 2025 that we had anticipated. Power outages, tree damage, treacherous streets. We’ve seen it all this past week thanks to the winter storm that covered the city in ice.
Instead of reopening after the holidays as expected, Patchwork spent Monday in the dark. While the lasting storm damage at Patchwork is minimal, our staff and volunteers were also impacted. In the end, Patchwork has remained closed all week out of concern for everyone’s safety and so that everyone has time to recover.
We anticipate that we will be open again on Monday, January 13. We’ve missed seeing our regulars and want to know how everyone is doing. We hope to see you, too!
