School Year’s End

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Pancake Breakfast last weekend! It took a lot of work, but it was a wonderful event. A special thank you goes to Jane Johansen who did so much to pull it all together. We were also glad for all the people who came to eat pancakes, buy art, bid on bikes, and enjoy the morning at Patchwork.

Now it’s back to the day-to-day routine. The food pantry has been very busy over the last two days as everyone nears the end of the month and looks for resources to help them stretch until next month.

Meanwhile, things are busy in the after school program as we prepare for the End of the School Year Celebration. The Celebration will be on Thursday, April 28 from 5:00-7:00 and everyone is welcome! There will be awards, an art show, a slide show reviewing the year, and a picnic supper.

The kids have been working on a photo project with visiting artist Jonathan Walker and their photos will be included in the End of the Year art show. Below are some previews. First is one by Hannah (Do you recognize where it was taken? And, no, it’s not Florida!), then one by Destiny, and finally one by River.
